Staff Profile: Jessye Lena

14 January 2021

Jessye joined the BCA Logic team early last year as our Office Manager. With prior experience in legal, management and contracts administration, Jessye has been a great addition to the team and has brought a fresh and positive outlook to the workplace.

How did you break into the industry and why?

Prior to BCA Logic I worked for a UK Property Developer running his office from Thailand and carrying out paralegal work. On returning to Australia, it was my sister and her fiancé’s nightly discussions concerning some of the somewhat laughable clauses clients would try and sneak into the terms of the contracts with their roofing business that prompted my interest in the construction industry and contracts administration. Women making up only 12% of the industry’s total workforce was another driving force behind my decision to pursue a career path within the construction industry.

Tell us about your current role at BCA Logic? What does your job entail? What is a typical day like?

My current role is Office Manager for BCA Logic and BCA Energy. I directly manage a team of five administrative employees, and I am the first point of contact for all administrative and HR related issues for the office. I handle Contracts Administration – reviewing and negotiating Consultancy Agreement terms, coordinate corporate activities and events, prepare budgets, financial metrics, manage the Managers and Directors meetings, recruitment, and onboarding of new hires … the list goes on and Friday’s always end with a glass of red wine!

What is your most favourite memory from BCA Logic?

I’ve just recently experienced the annual Paper plane throwing competition and literally had tears rolling down my cheeks. So many laughs!

What do you like most about your job?

My colleagues definitely make my job rewarding, we have a pretty epic team here at BCA Logic.

What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?

I won a World Title in Bodybuilding (Figure category) 6 years ago and was presented with the first ever ‘Pro Card’ in the federation.
