Two of the most experienced firms in the building industry have today announced their merger.
Stephen Grubits & Associates and BCA Logic will form a holistic, full-service offering for building regulations and fire safety engineering, with SGA joining BCA Logic, BCA Access and BCA Energy under the BCA Group banner.
BCA Logic Director Stuart Boyce says the move leverages a broad network of capability to provide best-practice regulatory advice across the entire building lifecycle.
“With the expertise of the SGA team behind us, we can consolidate BCA’s leading market position in providing building regulation and fire engineering consulting services in NSW,” Stuart says.
“We’ve both been in the business for more than 20 years and we’re driven to improve building safety. We consistently keep ahead of regulatory change to bring value early in the building process to our clients.”
Allan Harriman BCA Logic Director says the addition of specialised accredited fire safety engineers will broaden the services available under the BCA Logic banner.
“We now have a robust offering for all sectors of the building and construction industry,” he says.
“Our coming together will address an emerging gap in this changing regulatory environment. We’ll work with clients upfront in the process, so they understand the entire scope of requirements and make the right decisions and investments to boost safety and save money and time in the long run.”
For Stephen Grubits, the founder of Stephen Grubits & Associates, this new partnership brings opportunities for two teams to learn from each other.
“We’re already market leaders in our fields, as Australia’s first specialised fire safety engineering consulting practice,” Stephen says.
“Together we can now offer a stronger value proposition for clients and our employees.”
Carlos Quaglia, now the Director of SGA Fire agrees.
“BCA Group will genuinely be one of the strongest teams out there. Together, we’ll be focused on cost-effective solutions that create safer buildings, and remove the risk of defects and unnecessary costs.”
“This will be vital in the context of a burgeoning post-COVID building and construction industry, as well as continued concerns in terms of building safety.”
